Mongil: Star Dive Tier List — April 2026

Our April 2026 Mongil: Star Dive tier list ranks characters from T0 down to T4 for Story, Conquest, and Dimensional Rift. Use the tabs to switch modes; each table keeps its own ordering. Characters are grouped by element and role so you can scan Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind, and Lightning columns quickly, then filter by Fighter, Destroyer, Support, or Assassin as needed.

Last updated: 03/05/2026

This is based around early Awakenings, being A0–A2 (SSR only A0).

This is not meant to be a 100% conclusive launch tier list.

World tier list: This is a very non-challenging game mode. In general, you mostly need to care about characters that can deal Neutralization DMG and have AoE. Waypoints constantly heal you and are present almost everywhere, so bringing a healer for open world is usually unnecessary unless you struggle with dodging.

Conquest tier list: Conquest is about killing a single enemy within 5 minutes. Bosses often have stagger checks, which increases the value of Destroyers. Healers can still be useful for comfort, especially since you can’t heal during a boss fight using food. Units here are mostly tiered by Boss DMG, Neutralization DMG, and utility.

Dimensional Rift tier list: A timed version of World combat, with a large focus on AoE and Neutralization DMG. Utility and characters that can do their job quickly are more valuable here.

Note: Since there are score bonuses for using certain characters, this tier list is the one most likely to be updated frequently.

Tier Ratings

  • T0 God tier — strongest picks that define the meta; the top of the Story, Conquest, and Dimensional Rift rankings.
  • T1 Top tier — excellent performance in their role; high priority to build when you are investing for clears.
  • T2 Strong — reliable in most team setups and still a comfortable default in many compositions.
  • T3 Solid — good alternatives when higher tiers are unavailable, locked, or not yet built.
  • T4 Niche — usable but outclassed overall or limited to narrow, situational teams.

Rating Breakdown

Mina TBR

T0 STORY: She has a stable output of AoE and damage so long as she has Essence.

T0 CONQUEST: Her Neutralization DMG is quite low, but with very low cooldowns, she can focus on constantly assaulting the boss.

T0 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: While consuming Essence she dashes to the target, which can shave a few seconds off by reducing the time needed to aim and dash.

Esther

T0 STORY: When she is in her field, her autos constantly do sweeping Wind AoE damage, alongside protecting herself by confusing enemies.

T0 CONQUEST: Her Neutralization DMG is quite low, but with very low cooldowns, she can focus on constantly assaulting the boss.

T0 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Her AoE is tied to a circle and is high cooldown; her Burst DMG is outclassed at this point in time. T0 for the extra points bonus this season.

Sangun

T0 STORY: High effective range, attack speed, and easy to use.

T1 CONQUEST: Excellent damage against bosses weak to Wind, but less effective in other situations.

T0 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Strong main damage dealer.

Flare

T0 STORY: The most powerful Destroyer at launch. She isn't strong in AoE, but her role makes her perfect for this mode.

T0 CONQUEST: Main DPS — she makes these boss fights end sooner.

T1 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Neutralization DMG is good, but she will most likely not see much use in the field outside of bosses.

Gabi

T1 STORY: Requires charges of Spiritual Power to effectively do AoE.

T1 CONQUEST: Excellent damage against bosses weak to Earth, but less effective in other situations.

T1 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Slow AoE DMG compared to other top units.

Ophelia

T1 STORY: A high amount of her damage comes from auto attacks, which limits her when it comes to actual AoE.

T1 CONQUEST: Excellent damage against bosses weak to Ice, but less effective in other situations.

T1 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Slow AoE DMG compared to other top units.

Jiwon

T1 STORY: Core unit for Wind DPS, but she has no healing and requires a lot of field time.

T1 (?) CONQUEST: Since she strictly focuses on buffing Wind DMG dealers, and grouping is mostly useless in Conquest, she is kind of meh.

T0 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: More stamina and grouping targets makes everything go faster in this mode.

Penny

T2 STORY: Good AoE, but needs Seed of Awakenings to really shine.

T2 CONQUEST: Can only be used against bosses weak to Lightning.

T2 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Read Story detail — needs more testing.

Angel

T1 STORY: Fantastic AoE dealer and also a very strong sub-DPS.

T3 CONQUEST: AoE-focused Slayer — she can really only act as a sub-DPS or ult-spam here.

T0 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: The balance here is essentially perfect.

Benjamin

T1 STORY: AoE tag-in whenever you use a special skill.

T2 CONQUEST: Sub DPS and constant Lightning Neutralization. If you aren't running a Lightning DPS, I wouldn't use him here.

T1 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Sub-DPS units perform well in this mode.

Bonnie

T2 STORY: AoE explosions and buff Crit DMG.

T3 CONQUEST: Their kit isn't very useful in this mode.

T3 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Requires a lot of Crit; there are more efficient units.

Cloud

T2 STORY: AoE + stagger damage, but it takes longer to stack Ice Crystals without Awakenings.

T2 CONQUEST: Pretty solid Neutralization DMG and Burst DMG.

T2 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Good balance between stagger and AoE DMG.

Daisy

T4 STORY: Healers are very meh for open world content.

T4 CONQUEST: Her Special Skill and Ultimate either force the character to stay in a circle, or slow down.

T4 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Forces you to stand still and offers no particularly good utility.

Ellie

T3 STORY: Likes being off-field for a while so she can build up Snacks. In open world she is pretty bad though.

T1 CONQUEST: An incredibly good source of burst Neutralization DMG. She also lets your team heal a tiny bit, so she is pretty perfect.

T2 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Neutralization DMG, but her use case is a bit more niche.

Francis

T3 STORY: Healers are very meh for open world content.

T2 CONQUEST: Can buff Crit DMG and Earth DMG using her FREE Artifact.

T2 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Best healer at this part of the game, especially if you are running an Earth main DPS.

Leeho

T3 STORY: Takes too long in general to be useful as an AoE on-fielder.

T3 CONQUEST: Too low Neutralization DMG to justify using over characters in the upper tiers.

T3 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Not very good without high Awakenings.

Reina

T3 STORY: Somewhat awkward to play. Without Awakenings, feels rather underwhelming.

T2 CONQUEST: Pretty solid Neutralization DMG and Burst DMG.

T4 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Good Neutralization DMG, but it depends partly on HP and the AoE is awkward.

Sera

T2 STORY: Good AoE, but needs Seed of Awakenings to really shine.

T2 CONQUEST: Balanced DMG makes them pretty decent.

T3 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Good Special Skill that turns into a blender and deals fairly solid AoE damage.

Verna

T3 STORY: Somewhat awkward to play.

T3 CONQUEST: Too low Neutralization DMG to justify using over characters in the upper tiers.

T3 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Without Awakenings, feels rather underwhelming.

Yeonhwa

T3 STORY: Takes too long in general to be useful as an AoE on-fielder.

T3 CONQUEST: Too low Neutralization DMG to justify using over characters in the upper tiers.

T3 DIMENSIONAL RIFT: Requires your main DPS to have a high Critical Rate, which is difficult to achieve early in the game.
