General Info
Core systems explained in the style of the official help: Nyanners, progression, gear, skills, Monsterlings, and combat mechanics.
1. Nyanners and Monster Codex
You can choose your own name or keep the default one, Nyanners.
Like characters, Nyanners starts at Level 1 and can be upgraded. Each level increases your chances of capturing higher-grade and higher-level monsters.
You can gain levels by:
- Capturing monsters
- Earning rewards from the Monster Codex
You can view information on any monster you have captured at least once in the Monster Codex.
As you capture more copies of the same monster, the information available becomes more detailed.
You can also check where monsters appear by using the Habitat Info section.
2. Level up characters
You can use Experience Books to level up your characters.
A character's maximum level is also influenced by your Account Level, meaning higher account levels allow for higher level caps.
When a character reaches their current level cap, it can be increased through a Breakthrough.
The game features a classic duplicate system: finding multiple copies of the same character makes them stronger. In the game, this is called Awakening.
3. Artifacts
Artifacts come in three grades: 3★, 4★, and 5★, each granting various effects to your character.
You can enhance an Artifact by using specific materials or duplicate copies of the same Artifact.
The maximum level of a fully enhanced Artifact can be increased through Breakthrough.
An Artifact also has a Fusion Level, which can be raised by spending duplicate Artifacts.
Increasing an Artifact's Fusion Level boosts its Fusion Effects, making it more powerful.
4. Equipment
There are four equipment slots: Headgear, Chestpieces, Gloves, and Footwear.
Equipment comes in five grades (1★ to 5★).
Higher-grade pieces (4★ and 5★) can grant Set Effects when you equip the required number of items from the same set.
You can enhance Equipment by spending specific materials or duplicate pieces. Enhancement increases the stats of the equipment.
Depending on the Enhancement Level:
- New substats may be added
- Existing substats may be further increased
5. Skills
Each character has different types of abilities:
Basic Attack
A standard sequence of attacks with no cooldown.
Some characters can unleash more powerful variations by holding the Basic Attack button.
Special Skill
Mid-impact abilities with a cooldown.
Some characters can activate enhanced versions by holding the skill button. These stronger skills consume the character's unique resource.
Certain Special Skills can be used consecutively.
Ultimate Skill
Powerful abilities with their own gauge.
The gauge is filled by:
- Landing attacks on enemies
- Applying status effects to enemies or allies
Switch Skill
Abilities triggered when a character enters or leaves the field.
These are especially useful for:
- Performing counters against enemy special attacks
- Maintaining combat flow through team switching
Passive Trait
A passive ability that defines each character's unique playstyle and role.
6. Monsterlings
Basic information
Equipping a Monsterling to a character grants that character the Monsterling's effects.
Monsterlings can be enhanced using specific materials or other Monsterlings, increasing the stat boosts they provide.
When a Monsterling is obtained, it comes with Traits based on its grade, following set probability rates. Traits provide various effects and can be modified through Combining.
If the equipping character's level is lower than the Monsterling's, the Monsterling's level will automatically adjust to match the character's level.
Combine
You can combine two Monsterlings to create a new Monsterling.
Combining consumes both parent Monsterlings.
The resulting Monsterling will inherit the appearance of one of its parents.
Certain combinations have a small chance to produce a Monsterling Mutation.
Traits can be inherited or randomized during combining.
You can use specific Combine Consumables to guarantee the transfer of desired Traits from the parent Monsterlings.
Link Chain
Link Chains unlock the hidden potential of certain Monsterlings.
Craft a Link Chain and equip it to the corresponding Monsterling.
The equipped Monsterling will assist the character in combat.
Enhance the Link Chain to increase its effectiveness and overall power.
7. Combat tips
Elemental weakness
Attacking enemies with their elemental weakness deals increased damage. Check the Monster Codex to identify each monster's weaknesses.
Special attacks (enemy)
Certain monsters can use powerful special attacks.
Yellow glow — Timing a Dodge Skill or Switch Skill correctly will trigger a Counter, temporarily neutralizing the enemy. Successfully countering with a Switch Skill will reset all teammates' Switch Skill cooldowns.
Red glow — Counters cannot be triggered. You must evade the attack instead.
Staggering and bursts
Landing attacks on bosses fills the Stagger Gauge.
Destroyer units fill the gauge faster than other roles.
Once the gauge is full, you can use Nyanners' Skill to trigger a Stagger, temporarily disabling the boss.
While the boss is staggered, you can activate a Burst for increased damage.
Assassin units deal significantly more damage during Stagger and Burst phases.
