Lore

A bronze bell cast between the 2nd century BCE and the 3rd century CE, reportedly discovered in Sanuki Province during the Edo period. Bands encircle the body, resembling the sashes of monks' kesa robes, from which it derives its name. It was once used in ritual ceremonies.
