Lore
Discovered in 1950 on the beach of Snaptun, Denmark, this stone carving, dated to around AD 1000, is believed to depict the face of Loki. According to the Prose Edda, Loki was punished for his mischief by having his lips sewn shut, which is why the carved face shows scarred lips.
